Lora Aviles is a licensed therapist who provides individual, couples, and family counseling to teenagers, adults, and geriatrics. Lora believes in the importance of overall health: emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Lora received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida in 2005. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2009. She has been counseling patients since 2005 and has over 6,000 patient hours. Areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, family issues, abuse recovery, anger management, self-harm, trauma, dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities), divorce, interpersonal relationship skills, and adjustment issues. Lora uses cognitive behavioral therapy in her sessions as well as mindfulness, client-centered therapy, humanistic practices and problem-solving therapies.
It is important to Lora that each patient feels respected to ensure that they can flourish while in therapy. It is her goal to create a relationship with each patient that is filled with honesty and support wherever possible.
